New York Defensive Driving Online Course

The New York Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has approved this online Point Insurance Reduction program. DTA's IPIRP course is accepted by all New York auto insurers.

New York drivers who complete this accident prevention course may receive the following benefits:

Auto Insurance Premium Reduction (10%) – Every student who successfully completes this point insurance reduction program will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate may be submitted to the student's auto insurance provider in order to qualify for an automatic 10% insurance reduction to remain in effect for a 3-year period.
Point Reduction (up to 4 points) – After the student successfully completes this course, the course provider (DTA) will report his or her completion to the New York DMV. The DMV will, at its discretion, reduce up to four points on the student's driving record.
